What a game!!

Uff,....Ever guessed whether  a girl can write about cricket!!  To make things more impropriate, it’s me who’s writing about it. Don’t hope to much expectation thou but I criss-cross my finger to make it better and I bet, the contents are much better than mandira bedi’s so called saree/s  :-)

24-03-2011 , India Vs  Australia something which woke every one up ( aaah ‘most of them’ because I heard Volvo driver and conductor discussing that it seems Indian won against Australia after 2 days from the date where in the driver replies “Is It!!” ...ya I know ‘what a shame’ people were unaware) ; But as an Indian, I feel the tip toe kneeling experience can be seen only in India for cricket and especially when it’s opponent be someone so ‘legend’ and ‘the all time rivals’. I keep wondering and feeling ashamed ( ?? yes ashamed ) when the stadium growls, sings, dances with lightning rods ( I mean the fire crackers ) or by the hindi bolywood maska chaska songs , how will the other country people feel, wouldn’t they say “oh so much of gawar” ?; But when I think further I say “chalo dikadhe India”, gawar or no gawar, When India plays the Indian within the heart just dance and sings as a true Indian should :-) and yes even I was not able to resist when such a battle occurs ...chalo yer not always do we see gabar aur thakor ka thakrar ;-)

The temperature of the environment was something similar to me; it was the same heat which I felt, when I sat in an exam hall and wait for the Question paper to be in my hand. “What will be the Questions?”, “Will I know the answers?”, “Will I be able to answer it well?” etc & etc. It’s like 50 different Questions our batsman has to face and 50 different bowling styles has to be thrown at the opponent in such a way that they will not be able to answer them in any circumstances and for the first time I felt that, yes our bowlers had tried their level best, of all combination of Questions (in the pattern of bowling) at the Ausis. I am not an expert in this, but might be because of the pitch or our new faces (esp. Ashwin) Ausis (except Pointing, 104) had a tough time.

Also when bowling, there was an confusion in the minds of Ausis esp. Shaun Tait when shewag/sachin hit a 4 for the first over , it just conveys and says  in his reaction “Now what did I do”. I have seen 2003 world cup match where India reached the final, There is something different today and that’s the Confidence of the team and the same was missing in Ausis especially when there was 4 run hit by shewag in Brett Lee’s over, pointing was shuddered and heard the commentator suggesting the thought of pointing “What can I do”
I like Ausis team frankly especially when Mcgrath, Gilchrist with Breet Lee and Pointing, they were the best but as per the saying “What goes up has to come down” there has to be an end for the legend otherwise they are not called ‘the legend’ ;-) and seriously, on an happy note, these legends were defeated by us “INDIAN’S”

30-03-2011 India Defeated Pakistan. It was a moment where in all Indian watched, unlike Australia match I watched this one completely without any break ;-).  Everyone had a mindset that India will win, because never has India lost against Pakistan in World cup and as all Indian says “It’s ‘Prestige’ more important than the ‘Game’, Hence we will win”.

In both the matches 260 was something lucky for us... We targeted 260 and I hoped to see the same score appear in the Finals (Nearly!! 275 was our target in Finals).

But the best part of this match was the group which sat to watch. It was my last World cup match watched in Pg with all we girls, we had a very good time. Making Strategy to make our self calm down and watch the match with happy –fun thoughts made the evening/night very interesting. Each bowl was something like ‘one heart stroke’, eagerly waiting for their wicket. Yes our score (Indian’s) was 260 and it was by hard work indeed.  To be frank, I wasn’t much satisfied with our score but my Pg girls did not give up, they encouraged me, to think in the winning stroke direction. Predicting that a wicket would fall now and it did happen at the very next moment made us say “waw we are so lucky to the Indian team”.  We were superstitious; with the position of each of us sitting when the wicket fell, with the TV volume level, and soon. Can’t imagine the moment the last wicket was taken, all girls just jumped to cry with happiness. Ha what a night :-)

And then It was India vs. Srilanka on 2nd April 2011. For sure no one would forget the day the history was repeated after 1983, after 28 years I suppose we won the World cup and it’s something captivating. ‘Never expected!!’, this is what I express my thought on it. But dad has said during the match, that if Indian Team won that cup, then they are truly the champions of the champions, because the hard pain work is recognized.

With Srilanka, Pakistan and Australia; I feel Indian team has emerged from the muddy pond. And to the decorative royal castle, I suppose, because the very next moment when the Team India won the cup, there was a rush of money being followed with crore’s, awards and no idea what else.
Team India with the World cup - 2nd April 2011

@Team India: Congrats for bringing that cup, All the best and keep going... de ghuma ke

Two years in Software completed :)....A experience on my own thought

Its Two years in Software completed....Hurray my bond is broken ;-)

My Company , a very great company to start your career with. Unfortunately because of the huge employee strength, getting a project depends on your luck.

My experience as a Software employee , a one word explanation, Mind-Blowing.
First ILP : I had a superb start, a training session called ILP. It was Sept 17th 2007, first day of our almost 3 month training session in a beautiful coconut filled city Trivandrum. M too fascinated about coconut trees, it reminds me of my home-town off course Mangalore. We had that Marvellous buildings in which we were given training and all those months was like a small trip.

What i learnt : Beside from being there for studies, i learnt how to Adjust. It was my first time, i was out there all alone with no one to care for and also in an unknown city. At the end of the ILP, I was the single girl in my class from karnatak and rest of them were either tamilians or telgu.I needed to Adjust . But how?. I thought just be friendly and just take all the actions gently. If you like something do it otherwise leave it. Be bubbly about what you have, and be happy. Then i learnt to do friends, in a small spare of time with just a term called trust. People when they make friends take time to think about, i just throw a quick trust test on my first meet . Then if they fall on the trust side they r my friend if not then there are in the queue :). This is how i learnt to do Friends. Easy and You cannot go wrong in getting the gems; trusty friends and i have even now. :)

Second Mumbai , What I Leant : A Rough beginning and a life time remembrance. I don't want to blame it to any one why it was rough & why i was so. Might be the situations which landed me became so Rough. But the term rough is also very rude to it. When you see a beautiful Glass, you don't go on with how a glass crystals are made. we just see how beautiful the glass crystal is. Same here in my case i learnt what a life is , Its not only being happy but being happy even when the roads are rash ahead, bcoz you know that road leads to a beautiful city. No project, Lots more tedious adjustments , in which i felt i have been thrown to place called hell but suddenly during my travelling i realized this is not.

I used to make an attempt to run away from the situation and go home.Usually i used to travel in train. One day i met a foreigner and another time a family who just said a " waw , bravo " , just by looking at me and what i am attempting to do. This made my energy boast out and i continued staying in mumbai.I learnt to wake up, go ahead and make an attempt to all those which i thought i cannot. And i succeeded. People around me noticed the change and said well done. Only thing was project which i did not had.

But sadly or happy i was transferred to bangalore, by influence off course , by my mom.

Third Bangalore, What I am Learning : The Mumbai stay had played its role on me very well, I did not had the term Coward beside me. I made an attempt to show up what you have Now cannot be there Later and used it to max. I learnt what is Being Brave in Mumbai but was not able to implement it fully. That's what i achieved in Bangalore. I did a detail study of Bangalore until i get a project and said see Prathima this is how we see life.

From June,I am in a Project, Not purely Technical but even then I have made myself prove that i am an employee whom people remember through. I am bit egoistic and have lost patience some times. But there is no match for the speed is what All say at times :)

I sometimes come late :) to office and sometimes get frustrated, but this is what how a normal worker feels right!!

Getting into project makes you think what you are really capable of and how you have to mend yourself to work with others. Managing ourself when we are loaded, Attempting to make your presence known and the best To say the truth when you have messed up the most :)

This is Just a tit bit of what i have experienced in my company in these remarkably Best 2 years in this Co-operate world.

Rock on -

Try being a software, Its not so easy enough ;-)

Invisible Bond

It was 27th Aug. when I had to go to place called giri nagar to my cousin’s marriage. I made sure that I get half a day leave so that I can attend my cousin’s marriage. It was 12’clock when I started from office and caught a Volvo 500K.It was a nice ride as usual since it is the same route when I go to banshankari to my aunt’s place. The Bus takes up the route through agra, a small town near the famous kormangala. Now-a-days there has been some road construction on the process here; hence there has been some deviation from the normal route. For the drivers, not to get confused in those deviations, the transport department’s has attached boards specifying the directions ‘who has to go where and to reach which place’; just like those map’s in those complex malls J.

There is a college near agra something like “Freedom of Independence”. All vehicles have to pass this college. The transport department has made it in such a way that all private vehicles has to pass through the right side of the college and Buses left. Left route takes to agra city and then to HSR layout where as Right directly to HSR layout. But mostly all vehicles go through right side because the distance is less + the entrance of the college is also at the right sideJ . Buses can have a lot of kamai (earning) you see.

The problem was a lady. She had the sharpest voice in the whole world. She used to squeak when she spoke. She had to go to agra city and demanded the bus driver and the conductor to keep left. More than any one, conductor was very furious about it. There was an argument for at least 1 minute and then finally the lady won.

She got down at her stop and the bus moved to HSR layout. Conductor had made a very sad and a furious face. Driver just looked at him and said “Hag yake nodthidya, Bido, Ondu divasa alla”(Why are you making such faces, Leave it, One day na!!). I too wondered why he was so furious of that. It was astonishing. But my confused questions were soon answered when the next stop arrived. There were, I feel, 30 kids waiting to jump into this bus. They were so excited to climb. Our conductor face blushed like he has seen an evening blossoming flower. He was so trilled. Even the driver, suddenly the slow kannada songs shifted to hip hop Hindi music and all the bus went dancing around. There was that excited noise which I used to hear in my college buses.

Of all the thing now I said and I felt may not be so much like a hit film story but the point is that there has been something which has connected the bus conductor and the driver to the students ( and might be vice-verse ) which has made them miss them so much. An invisible bond which has created between two strangers never can be explained.

Even this has happened in my college bus. We had a conductor who did not even know our names, but used to give a sweet smile whenever we used to come. He used to wait till all the guys have come to the bus stop. After a year or so he had shifted to other area college buses, but when he met me one day he just asked me “How are you? And how was my other 3 friends who where always together?”…He had actually remembered then. Ya he has to, we 4 where used to giggle and comments so loudly and if any one of them was absent it was like the whole group is broken down. Any way the topic of discussion is that invisible bond which we achieve without even knowing and which always brings a small happiness of those boring routine works. And also we gain something like one step ahead and change the definition of trust which we build between the known and the unknown individuals

Even today, near my office, there is a security guard who always asks me in the morning “How are you? Had your breakfast? ” and a simple bye, end of the day.

Such impact which gets a smile from some strangers are sometime like refreshment and in many case a heart touching memory which can be never forgotten.

Insect's Love( I love them or they love me ,...Its in a confusion status!!!)

My childhood was one thing which i like the most in my life. I am sure everybody will agree, " how nice your child hood was and how you would like to be in that world." Any way what we have to accept is that the life which we have left behind cannot be re-brought again. But surly we can re-telecasted them as a memory anytime, anywhere.

One of the best incidents( i would say repeated ones) used to be " the re appearance of my so called enemies in front of me ",...insects. i was too scared of them and i really hated them :).But it was not the same from there side. They used to love me and used to come in front of me and scare me as they wished...huh!!!!

One truth, even now... i am scared too. ;-) . But i realized this time when i went home that i was not much in contact with them.was i ? Cant really think when i actually met them.... I mean it is around 1 - 2 years or so i have not met any cockroaches, spiders, lizards, frogs or rat [ except the mosquitoes,...;-). I do meet them daily ]. fascinating!!! but true. I just got all my memories back when i saw a spider in my bathroom the other day when i went to manglore.I don't want to say but i think i missed them so much. I was just staring for around a minute or so at it as if it was some " kumba ke mele main bichadi huai bhai !!!".. :).

It was so alike as the spider which survived around 6 months or so at my bathroom before. This happened when i was at my 9th. I used to be too scared to remove it. Firstly because it was very huge and creepy to look. It had some sort of skull drawn at its so called face. Secondly It was pregnant. You could say i had a kind heart of not to kill it. :) But ya i did said my mom to kill it once it had delivered( hee hee hee ).

Mom had clearly said she will not kill it in any case." when will you grow up. Kill it your self whenever it is ". Then i took the help of my little brother. He killed it ...when it was pregnant only. Sad ending through.....But he did give me a logical reason saying that a whole family would be creeping back of me if i let it give birth and all.So....So my little brother did played the assassinator part and very well indeed :).

Rat : Not much, but first time i did see it was at our store room, where in it had made its own small happy home out of my favorite old bag which i liked the most. Mom had a tough time chasing it and its pretty cute babies mostly because we found it in the dead of a night and top of it, i was screaming at the peak of my pitch. :).

I think this was the first and the last incident of rats we found at our home. It was the time when we first shifted from our old house to a new one. So at that time we didn't have any cats. This is where i love my cats. One life saver from these rats. But ,...ha there is a but you will see rat's dead bodies lying some where some times ;-).

One day it so happened that my mom opened the front door and found a dead rat, a very huge one and a tiny little cat, our cat, beside it. It was staring at my mom trying to say " Am i not strong ".....Mom was so much furious. huh !!!!

Cockroaches : I had ripped its body and studied all the parts, even then i have not got that braveness which will make me face it.

Our biology madam strictly said " Each and every one please get a cockroach for tomorrows class. I don't know how you will be getting it. But make sure each one of them have it. If you don't you will not get any attendance for tomorrow's session. And yes you will be out of my class " .
As i was one of the favorite students, i didn't wanted to make a bad impression.So. And yes once again Mommy came for help.Mom started to search all the shelf and drawers where she keeps her old book. We didn't get any. Then at around 10 in the night, Mom found one ugly looking cockroach ( Ugly because Its wings was torn apart, It had a very bad facial expression and i don't remember but it was looking weird from the normal looking cockroach ). Any way mom caught it and put it in the match stick box and i wrapped it in at around 2 plastic bag so that it doesn't escape :).

Finally when we reached the lab they took the match box from each of us and dropped all the roaches in a glass bottle. It was so creepy to look. 20 cockroaches in each bottle at least. and all roaches where like a ugly prisoners trying to run away. Then they pored the Anastasia liquid into a cotton bush and dropped it into the bottle. All the roaches got paralyzed, they where then kept in front of us for our study :)...........Creepy

Lizard : Don't ask. They have one sweet eye on me, they used to fall on me like once in a month. And i used to run to mom and dad asking my luck part comparing to the stars and the place where it had fallen. Didn't understand!!! Let me explain, There is a saying that if a lizard falls on you there is bad or good luck depending on some conditions. We have a monthly book called panchanga where in all these stuffs are mentioned. It will say if a lizard falls on your shoulder on Monday what is the indication of it and so on. Superstitions but i used to follow it especially if it had happened when it is nearer to exams :$

Frog : This is one which i hate the most and it which loves me most. It used to jump and come near me whenever i used to go to water my dear plants in my garden. I think there was that cursed prince who wanted a kiss from me to turn into a prince. Whatever i have not allowed it to do and i will never....even if that frog is turning into a prince. I just hate it. It is so slimy,..yak...

These are some incidents, I can recall. Any way without these insects my childhood world is incomplete. Good or bad my experience was a trilling one and surly it was because otherwise i wouldn't have landed in writing so much about them

Thanks, Insi

Lazy or Late, Not sure !!....But utterly nonsense :)

World has turn down to electronics. and due to this, percentage of being lazy has increased :). Now when i am in this decade why should i be behind.Let me help in making the world even more digital. :)

I am always late to office. This is because of my laziness! or my insufficient time to solve my tiny little problems!.Not sure But i need a solution

Mostly i cannot compact my laziness and get up early at around 5 ' clock. I need a solution within the range of being lazy. Solution is electronics and computers. And if you ask me, the real inspiration is from a cartoon network show called "The Jetsons". Seriously guys, You need to see this show they have everything for being to be lazy and not getting late ;-).....Fully modernized digital era........waw......cool.....

Here, I have actually listed down 2 of my primary works which makes me late.Reading these activities, you may not be saying that i am lazy but the point i call it lazy because....... i used to do it before within this time range. So lazy or late these are 2 head eating activities.

1.Drinking a cup of milk every morning : That's the problem??...Not Specifically, But yes drinking hot milk. When i enter the kitchen of my PG, my cook realizes the need to boil the milk and gives me the perfect 75 degree pasteurized milk,...huh...:@

Now my Solution : I need a machine ( just like a coil with a space in the middle to keep my cup) which makes the milk cool and warm as per my tongue's adjustable temperature. It should first check the body temperature. Then in turn decide what's the exact temperature of the milk should be and yes it should retain that warmness of the milk for a fixed time :)...little bit scientific,....But it is to say that i want it to be neither too cold nor too hot ...........What's say!!!

2. I usually miss the bus ( 504 and 333P ) : The problem of missing is not because of me but the timing of these buses. I come at the exact time, i.e. the time they had arrived at the bus stop ....yesterday. But what to do BMTC buses are just like.. Cops in films.......... Never on time,.........

Now my Solution : I need my mobile to have a sensor attached which senses the presence of that particular bus.Sort of a navigator setup in those nokai mobile.I think you got my idea. It should generally say the wearabout of that bus and give me a beep when they are 3 km far away from my place :)...I can get ready you see at that time. ;-)....and you might ask why mobile??....No specific reason, I don't wear a watch otherwise i would have suggested that............

These are the primary 2 most important thing for me, currently and if i actually start thinking, i think i can get more.:)

At the end i would say i actually want that Jetson life where in they travel the world in light speed..... It will make my life easier. I can always come to office from mangalore ;-).

I know i am asking for too much but my heart some time wanders for the desire stuffs which some times, occasionally i achieve it by my laziness( and yes with condition of imagination and creativity )..................hee hee hee .............read it twice this line actually has a meaning :)

At the end i will just leave you with this Quote:

“I will act now. I will act now. I will act now. Henceforth, I will repeat these words each hour, each day, everyday, until the words become as much a habit as my breathing, and the action which follows becomes as instinctive as the blinking of my eyelids. With these words I can condition my mind to perform every action necessary for my success. I will act now. I will repeat these words again and again and again. I will walk where failures fear to walk. I will work when failures seek rest. I will act now for now is all I have. Tomorrow is the day reserved for the labor of the lazy. I am not lazy. Tomorrow is the day when the failure will succeed. I am not a failure. I will act now. Success will not wait. If I delay, success will become wed to another and lost to me forever. This is the time. This is the place. I am the person.”

Our Elevator Foolishness

My Office is a Four Floor Building. Neatly Done and Very Gorgeous. Kannada actor Sudeep's Film was shot here. I work in 2nd Floor ODC 1. My Colleague on same Floor but ODC 3. ODC means Offshore Development Center.Don't bother about it is Just some terminology used in our company.
Our canteen is at 4th Floor and yes like all, we use elevator as a transportation to our luxurious place, i.e. Of course Canteen.:). Another reason why we take elevator is also because My colleague has hurt her leg and she cant take stairs. So elevator !!!!
Me and My Colleague go together, for Breakfast, Lunch and also for Tea.[ I actually don't drink Tea but yes Do you need a reason to go to Canteen :). ] And as you know we are as free birds when we go to canteen. We chat as if we have never met and comment on all the people who we are in or not in contact :). So free bird we are and + we are girls, So we chat. This is where we really are in Trouble.
We do our routine chatting but unfortunately we forget to press the button and as it is a mere machine it goes of to the place where it called. huh!!
Today it was heights of foolishness, we were in the same speed of chatting and we were waiting for the lift to come. There was another guy who was in a great hurry to go to ground floor and we needed to go to, of course, where else, canteen.
Our lift came and for sure it was going up, so, we entered. There were many people on it and we did not even bother to check whether the button 4 is pressed or not. Then it stopped in one floor we guessed it was 3 rd floor. All the people in the lift except me and my colleague got out.Now also same speed of chatting continued. And then the lift stopped. Opened. I did nt even bother to see which floor it was and who is getting into the lift. We just came out. But my dear friend looked at me and said " hey is that not the same guy who was in hurry who wanted to go to ground floor. How did he reached here and why is he laughing." And suddenly every thing went blank and both of us asked to each other " hey which floor are we now " :)
Yes Yes You guessed it right we were back in 2nd Floor. We looked to each other and then we busted laughing. We called each other name and said this is the 3rd time we have been fooled by a elevator.
Hmm, God knows when we girls will understand.........................:)
