That Peppy Women

The book is partial friction as Mrs funnybones is measurably more peppy compare to Twinkle, but the characters are familiar, her family. 'Man of the House' is dominant, Mummiji being possessive, Mommy dear more restless and the 'prodigal' son as she dictates. When we read the book, it's easier to depict as the characters are the celebrities from Bollywood.

My most funniest sections  -

  1. Give a speech of inequality and come home only to hear from the man of the house - 'can you push that coffee table dear!!'
  2. Ladies walking in the apartment staircase with a combination of Salwar & Sports Shoe; to impress celebrity hunk neighbour.
  3. The Best one - In an aeroplane, when a baby poop's, a woman gets her perfume and sprays it inside the diaper.

This blog post is inspired by the blogging marathon hosted on IndiBlogger for the launch of the #Fantastico Zica from Tata Motors. You can  apply for a test drive of the hatchback Zica today.

Leisure books 2015

I have been away from my work for almost an year now. I am an exhausted and thrilled mom for an 8 month old boy but few at times when I get leisure, its books which comes to my mind. From Sachin Tendulkar sensation book " Playing it my way " to classic like" Gone with the wind " ; my collection set this year varies from one form to another. It would take a while to think and write about all the books which I read, hence I will select few which was in dark from my knowledge but had impressed me at the end

1. "The Black Box" by Micheal Connel -

A thriller novel which has usual storyline as per this era but the way it has approached and depicted quite creates scandal in itself. I mean when I had started with it, I kept guessing what could be the reason but at the end when the climax was out it really was fascinating and interesting.

Harry Bosh yet another case of murder mystery with a tittle which depicts that when a plane crashes we try find the black box to complete the investigation. like wise in all cases we need to find that black box whether it is think or info or someone to complete it

2. "Night fall " by Nelson demille

I cant completely say this is a friction as the story line is not. It has happened in US, where a flight had broken to flames in the midair. Many people claim to see a streak of light like a rocket which propelled and hit the plane. But the investigation had no proof on that streak of light beam and hence it was closed as mechanical failure.

Author Nelson gave a twist to the real fact by adding a friction to what might have happened to the investigation if there was a glimpse of proof for this beam of light.

The climax is such a take back that none can ever imagine. What a end.

A 'Must' read book.

3."Pendragon Legacy - Sword of light" -

This is pure friction and harry potter fans might like it. It consists of 4 books and this one is the 1st of them. Its about a girl whose surname is Pendragan and how she overcomes fear and becomes the bravest among the whole kingdom. She  challenges her evil cousin just by her innocence which makes the story even more interesting.

My encounter was as surprising as this book. I got this book from our city library. Its a tale to be read and without the next 3 book in series this tale is incomplete. I am still finding hard to be patience to get my hands on the next series.

Yes its half review but the point is not review but its awareness is what I want to publish. If you ever find the 4 in together, it can be a great collection in bookshelf.

4. 'My Days ' by R.K. Narayanan -
Need no intro as it is the very famous 'Malgudi days' authors autobiography.

I am incompetent to review this as his standard is higher than any author in this world. Hence I will not review the book. Its a must if you are fan of him, i cant imagine if you are not. You can find some rare pictures of his life and you get a visit to his personal life. There is also cartoon illustration by another great person and his own little brother Mr. R.K.Laxman which is remarkably funny.

I would say that despite being a great author, during that time authors had lot of contents to write. A simple exam is of a street light man which Mr. Narayanan has explained in his 1st chapter and that too so beautifully.

Might be it would have been best to born at those times as hard work and success was hand in hand.

Think about it & I will leave you to it.

Bat Raises

Can there be a Knight to Save the Earth!! Can there be a Hero to Clean out the Corrupt, I am not sure. But it do exists in Friction, And we all love watching it.

I am new to this 'collection set of movie', so was astonished to see 'not so young' Christian Bale actor playing Bruce Wayne, as Batman, he was charming thou. Please forgive me for my innocence if I comment something odd. Anne Hathaway being Catwoman!! I was surprised, the usual bubbly, girl next door roles suits her, But catwoman, ah!! she did remarkably good but not great.

Story is simple, an evil, mysteries criminal with his/her plot to destroy the city 'Gotham' and the savior of- course the Batman. Yes the twist was something not expected, but it did not bring such a shock in the plot. Also, perhaps you might have noticed, I did not see Bruce eating anything he was offered in the movie, there was always some reason for him not to eat!!...

Boys would love Batman's Bike, It does some unusual turns and the cinematography was very good, with Bridges and Football stadiums collapsing in sight.

Rising is an enlightenment part of the movie. Life becomes difficult to Raise from the failure and that's what the film talks about. Bruce is hurt and hidden, he raises to hunt the criminals who destroys his wealth, status. He is not strong and witty and hence fails again, He is inside an well, hurt and wants to get out. And then comes the 3 attempt, to escape. He Leaps for the 1st time , he fails, but there is a thread which is holding him to survive, He leaps again for the 2nd attempt and fails and the 3rd attempt he leaps without the thread to hold him from being extinct. But he succeeds, How??

He was asked by his fellow prisoner, a guru, what is that you scare a lot. He says 'die staying here!!'. He says then Jump as the Kid did without any thread mounted around your hips. When there is some support in you , you will never understand the importance of achieving something in life, because you know that if you fail, there is something to hold me or someone to support. But when you know there is only one chance of succeeding without any support, you will focus more on succeeding rather than thinking of the failure you might.

Deh-shay, deh-shay bah-sah-rah, bah-sah-rah

PS : I would rate 3/5 for the Movie Dark Knight Raises, how much you would rate for this review ;-)

Dhobi Ghat

We are always not sure why some movie's attracts you on a first sight, leaving you traces of what might be; creating curiosity but at the end, an unfortunate titanic sinking effect with just the sweet tit-bites. It's just so not happening. This would be what I summarize my on-going variation of mood's during the pre- and pro- effects of Dhobi Ghat.

If you just visualize the approach of the way to shot a film, i.e. cinematography, then I would give it 100/100 for it. But in a film, a story, a concept is also needed which it just doesn't fulfils. It was like a 1 30 hours trailer of what mumbai has and feels, nothing much of story or a concept, with a reaction Not bad, but not good too

@Dhobi Ghat : The story as such is about 4 people whose life cross each other in amchi mumbai. All 4 are connected with each other, with relationship undefined or  is abrupt. Arun ( Aamir ) is a  very painful painter, and he hardly talks throughout the film. Yamini (Kirti Malhotra) character is pleasing and very surprisal since she is always been engulfed in her own video taken by herself from a handy cam, an amateur video with a meaningful approach which Arun grabs it in his painting and also in his life. Shie (Monica Dogra the NRI) is uncertain in herself with deep affection on Arun and care to munna. Only munna (Prateik Babbar) seems to be the one appearing working throughout, for his daily wages. He is the one whom the title fits, as he is a Dhobhi indeed. Ending is up to us viewer's to predict, because the way kiran wants to depict from the movie is not fully understood by all. Yes, Dhobi Ghat is a documentary movie with overall concept unclear. It lacks the story which a person search's for. There might be a distinct connection between the 4 life, but why was this film done, what was the purpose is missing for elaboration. Especially for a non-mumbaian it is difficult to interrelate, as compare to other mumbai related stories/films, it definitely misses some beats.

@what's interesting: Artistic side has been portrayed very gorgeously, with Aamir being a painter, Monica Dogra, a photography freak. Painting and the photograph's reflects an eye-pleasing site which brings some sort of happiness if you are an artistic person. The way the film is directed can be applauded for, especially when she is in her debut role. Also it highlights the mumbai in and around which is interesting to watch about. Since mumbai is a theme here, this has been elaborated freshly, neatly no doubt. It covers all the nature as well as deep down expectation of mumbaian. All the 4 actors (yes no doubt on Aamir though) played there character role with utmost efficiency.

At the end yes Kiran can be the best director with A but, that let someone else write a story.

Andaz Apna Apna

KKHH, DDLJ, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!...How many times these films keep re-appearing in television?,.. all weekends? Bhagwanji, how do people watch it, again and again and again !!!... But even when we complaint that it’s really boring and irritating, some dialogues make our lips touch our ears :). Why is it so??....because it’s so filmy bhaiye!!!

Hearing film dialogues do bring memories which was all lost ( gayi puri bhains paani mein ); yes, so today I would suggest the Jahaan panha’s ( my readers), to close the television set, give a break for it and read this new debut book of Mrs Varsha Dixit ‘Right Fit Wrong shoe’.....Its ‘full toss nautanki’ and all filmy fans will love it!!....And m sure when karan’s ( Karan Johar ) film comes to an end, you will finish reading this book too

I never have read such stories and it’s not my type too, but this was funny, romantic, stressful but in the end ...umm fun. Just last Sunday did I land my hands on this book, content looked appealing and I just picked it for time pass. And hurray I had finished it...even after that stressful work hour’s...it kept me going :)

It has the same approach as chetan bhagat, but in a different style. She has written as she spoke, but yes in bollywood slang. Titles of each chapter are all from different movie and all chapters, as the title implies, the story from that respective movie.

Story revolves around the heroine, of-course, nandhini who is ‘lassi in wine glass’. It’s basically a love story, how she falls in and out and again in ( Aaj, kal, parso), all only with 1 man who is described as ‘Bada bhagwan , chota shaintan’; chota being , ‘The Aditya’.

To summarise, It is just a mixture of the entire bollywood stories. Love of a chulbuli girl to some ‘Bigda hua raihis’ son and the girl do qurubanni of love on request by his mother by acting like a money grabbing tramp which makes the guy turn to angry young man ‘kutte mein tera khoon pi jaoonga’ , to take revenge on her .

But hey, don’t go-ahead by story, the way it is described and twisted, it will really keep you occupied. ( Dekha! Impress kar dhiya na )

I will never point out as the best book I ever read, na!!,..nahi nahi, chord do, mujhe bhagwan keliye chord do :P, tik hai tik hai,...acha tha!!...But it was the best cooked up story ever ...Cooked truth, unlike cooked food, burns, sooner or later. :P

There have been some flaws, like the climax was felt as if it was made to run to come to an end and there were many unanswered questions. Only the big picture was highlighted, all the small incidents where not elaborated much...bada soche to bada milenga ;-)

It consists of lust, revenge, love, jealousy and also dhaam dhadham, dishum dishum, akal ke dushman gadhe ki dum :)

Overall the bollywood pack was just highlighted in a right (fit),  in a book, which is the wrong shoe, because usually bollywood stories are narrated in television, right!.... :P

Lafangey Parindey

Bollywood masala has been now-a-days out of taste. Most of the movie which has arrived recently, neither has achieved originality nor persistence in the minds of the viewers. This was not so in the beginning of 20's. But now the time has changed. Some concentrates on songs, some on dresses, some on location, but the story are as usual. But it is not that these movies are bad, it has the new spices but some how it never gets suspended in the minds, it just evaporates. Lot of us, never even remember the name of the films, just remembers that some certain characters/scenes has been an eye catching ones. 'Story!...who knows, might be the same girl boy love story' will be the reaction. On such movie is 'Lafangey Parindey'....But don't ask me, i am still finding out what was it all about, and what was good about, so that i can communicate it to you...ummm

Any way the other way round is also good, why do we watch a movie for, just for a time-pass. So why do you want a movie to revolve around you thought!!! You need to go out of the theater and just forget. It was just meant to flow your money out, for entertainment. It was just one shot. :)

Now for my review section on 'Lafangey Parindey' , very predictable one if you had seen the prom's. It is what is shown. Nothing, no addition and no deletion. But even then, it gives fairy tale impression, why not!!, its yash raj films production right!!

Some wired/funny/fairy tale incidents which I noticed :

*Hero works for a known gunda, but the gunda in-turn is not so violent. He is much more of a seniti and emotional guy. If his best man, or his left hand is dead , he cries and if the hero wants to leave all the gundagardi and want to work normal daily wages like all Indian, he is fine.

*Hero has an occupation of fighting and always win ( god's kid ) and if he lose, then that's only when he sacrifice ....( arey yer that's why he is hero , don't know kya!!! ) and if he did sacrifice , its time for the heroine's heart to melt, run for him; hugs and smooch hero :S
*Hero always listens to whatever heroine says, but if his mentor says the same , he never listens, even during the mentor's death bed ( ahha na!! )
*Hero learnt to skate in such a very less time span, remarkably i can say love can make you do anything :P *Heroine lost only eyes in that accident. Not even a scratch to her beautiful skin. (umm,..strange!! )
*She learnt to walk in the road as if she has eyes, again all blind's need to learn from her.
*And i seriously didn't knew why the cops took so much time to finish there investigation. When the film starts the investigation begins and at the end of the film, the investigation closes and of course culprit's name comes to light,....( aio!!!! why  can't the case be given to CID team of sony tv, they will finish it in half a day...lol ) *Jublient point : cop works for free ( waw re waw , dedication ) and even when the culprit name is announced, he is free to go because...love, of course!!, ( muah ,...ha ha ah )
*And of-course the skating part was some graphical stuffs, i didn't find it to be real...:S

The wardrobe was very ordinary. Also they repeated the dress many times, esp. deepika's blue t-shirt and 3/4th Capri and niel's yellow black strip shirt with black jeans. The location was not yash raj type, but ya you can make out because even though the half of the story was revolving around 'taporie's', the place was very clean ( i really mean here 'cleanliness' ).Story was like 'I have heard it somewhere' type.

The only thing i liked is the confident the character had, when she lost her eyes, she didn't sit and crib on the lose, she was back to practice skating. That's quite confident, brave step and encouraging for everyone. And yes there were no melodrama, all the melodrama was hidden, Its good to see that when we have so much melodrama in our own life :P

Finally my rating '2.5/5' and Film 'time-pass' ; watch the film if there is no other good movies around and you need to spend your time :)... bcos i did.

Atonement

Just finishing a book and closing it never give me an end taste.I always aspire on writing something about it, not actually reviewing, i don’t call myself worthy to be into it, but mostly mending my feelings, emotion of the same is every day thought.

Today I finished atonement, a pack full of flavours ( feelings) from rich of excitement to detectable tragedy to inescapable unhappiness.

Atonement as the name implies is a story based on self obliging for the act of wrong done. A 13yr old girl, who commits a mistake, which she engulfs herself throughout her life and serves for it till her end.

When we commit a mistake, sometime it so happens that the mistake creates a lock, without a key , and makes it unable to unlock it in future. Some calls it as gods play or some human faults which is irreparable. That’s what happened in Briony's life which caused a serious impact on her sister and much more affect to her (sister's)love of her life.

The misunderstanding when wanted to be corrected, went with the winds of circumstances and became unchangeable when the culprit was immune with the innocent, which was unbreakable.

The atonement, which she pursued to offer, stretched up till her age 77 and only ended (or can say made a new beginning) by a shape of a book, an autobiography, of her wrongdoers and finished with sweet end, even when the realistic persecutions was bitter.

Ian Macewn, the author, has showed me a special way of writing which I really want to share. In a sentence, he merges not only the present, but also the past and also depicts the future. It’s actually difficult but I will never stop trying to use it, which was in past unaware, but in future will make me to master.

The language is not in a level to normal but one step ahead, but never an off flow one. A person, who is continues reader may not face much difficulty, but for others a little bit of vocabulary mastering is necessary.

Three folds of the story revolves behind the descriptions of the world war II and makes the essence of the story interesting and is also an influence for the story.

Overall I loved the way, the story is been emerged and written, one of the booker prize nominated fiction. For non-readers there is the movie too which is also one of the most watched ones.

Offend can be said as the essence of a story and atonement the storyline.

A book for a predominant reader and a story which can never be "like"

Who will Cry When You Die....:)

Hello all ,

There's a simple reason why we love books. and tats because it makes us happy, keeps our boring intervals interesting. Why Books You say!!!,...Because I want tell you about the book i read " Who will Cry When You Die" :) . I know i am bit late for it, i mean to write about it Because If you just goggle i think there would be so much about it. But this Book has something i love the most ....." Quotes" :)

About the book:It has 101 solution to lead a life, during those complex curves of life. All these solutions are mere easy to follow and many of us actually know about it. But you have to read it for the way it has written and the examples. And especially those remarkable motivation quotes / sayings written by many of the famous philosopher, which are really touchy ones. Just read it, : ) and ha it is a smallest book of all :) and wont take much of your time. The book is just like "Big things comes in small Package " :).

I just want to share some Quotes / Sayings which i really like.

Anyone Can become angry...Thats easy. But to be angry with right person,to the right degree,at the right time, for the right purpose and in the right way.....thats not easy

The person who tries to do everything ultimately achieves nothing or The persons who chases 2 rabbits catches neither

Have patience with everything tat remains unsolved in your heart. Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in foreign language. Do not now look for the answers. They cannot now be given to you because you could not live them. it is a question of experiencing everything. At present , you need to live the question. Perhaps, you will gradually, without noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day

He who asks may be a fool for five minutes but he who does not is a fool for life time. or Its a funny thing about life; if you refuse to accept anything but the best, you very often get it.

This is the best one where in a small child, writes these words in a hand made card to his dear father.

Sometimes you get discouraged because i am so small And always leave my fingerprints on furniture and walls. But everyday I'm growing ----I'll be grown up someday And all those tiny hand prints will surely fade away. So here's a final hand print, just so you can recall Exactly how my fingers looked when i was very small

I wept because i had no shoes until i saw a man who have no feet

There is nothing in the world more valuable than friendship. Those who banish it from their lives remove as it were the sun from the earth, because of all of nature's gifts, it is the most beautiful and the most pleasing

And Many more...........

Finally i am not a perfect person who can judge robin sharma or his work, but truly a remarkable book to read and get inspired :)
