It has been 1 year 2 months to be precise having sony ericson K530i and i love it more and more even when it is getting older and older. It has.. been there, done that , watched this and slept along :) . I know m just exaggerating, but just making my point clear that i like ah ha love my mobile sooo much.'. The love for sony is by seeing the suffering's of nokia and motorola.
The story actually started when i had my first mobile in my hand, the nokia 6600, the so called frog mobile of all times. It used to be bigger than my hand and always on the verge to fall. I had an extra cover for it but even then it used to fall down. Not that my hand was slippery :), i think i was not used to holding mobiles; this might be the reason behind it :) . But even then nokia is nokia, durable and strong like always and never say give up ;-). It had been there throughout my training session in trivandrum and people wondered how come it is in good shape and working condition even when she dropped it so many times. That's nokia one and all. I did not had many songs in it, but i did take lots of snaps. One of the best thing i did with it, i recorded the song " raja di raja " , a tamil song sung by my pondi frnds in a German class ( PS : chori chupke shai :) ). But ya i forgot to copy it to my system and i lost it. I hope they sing it to me once again :). Any way it was fun.
But when i reached mangalore, it started showing some signs of defeat. And the day when i was about to go to Mumbai it was dumb. Even when people call to it, it never used to sing i mean ring ;-). So needed a mobile fast and also to my expectations and the savior was Motorola L6.
The second mobile in my life. This time i made sure i had a memory card along with it so that i can load lots of songs in it. ( MP3 i mean ). Camera was same as 6600. And it was the first time i started surfing in mobile.But main was handling. Motorola is delicate as a feather. and you need to be soft and sweet to it. But me,......hee hee hee, like always dropped it.
The first or i think the second time i dropped, its display glass braked ( oh ohh ) and it was not yet 2 months old :(. I was horribly scolded by my mom and by my uncle.I searched hard in Mumbai to get a display glass but looking at my desperation and also at the mobile condition , shop keepers used to charge it very high. Some shopkeeper's went even to extend of 1000 Rs for it.
Then Bangalore, transfer and some how by convincing my uncle,... found a display glass for my mobile, cheaper one,...at Mangalore and went along with it. But that time it had been to some extend. Its cover color was in patches and some corner, it was broken. But even then the glow was still there and i had felt proud to hold it after it was replaced with new display glass.
But the time comes to all and even for my L6, it went to some sudden shock condition where it used to do switch off switch on dance and there where sometime terrible magnetic , electric waves generating while talking and yes again i braked its display glass. This time i thought : " Heights Prathima, Aren't you shamed of yourself ". I changed the whole outer appearance of my L6 and made it at least appearance wise ...good. But it was already using " kill me kill me, but please don't use me" quote so a change was need and that too fast.
So on August end 2008, after saving around 25K of money, i was in search of a good looking and costliest mobile with high resolution camera and a nice music featured mobile. People did suggested not to buy so expansive one.But then when we went to showroom, in marthahalli, ( Actually it was just for a window shopping session ) i just liked this simple 2Mpixel Sony cybershot ericson k530i and it was only for 7K. More than me, all my frnds, Pgmates where very happy that day. Guess!!. Cheaper one you see, Even if it is broken not so much of a issue. I mean where is 25K plan and where is 7K.
This was it.I need to be out of that tag.This was also about my money.hard earned one 7K. I need to be careful. I got a 300 Rs cover, a suggestion from a friend, from forom mall for safety purpose. And it worked out. My dedication and concentration on it made it survive for more than a year.
Its a simple stylist mobile of all. Pics taken from it are really incredible. It has a feature of taking 3 different pic at a time and merge it into a single photo.Night vision is not so good but do i really care about it. I like it as much it has liked me. There is in built storage facility for 2GB memory. I dont have now but i now have 512MB Memory card. Yes need to update it. :)
Sound wise, its superb in headset but when i keep it in load speaker mode, i think, audible wise, it needs a bit high audibility. otherwise sound quality is good. Battery ah not so much, But it will be there at least for 1 day even if you hear half a day music.
Net Browsing is superb. i.e After down loading Opere Mini it is mind-blowing. Both 4.2 and 5 can be downloaded but i think for me and for my mobile 4.2 is the best fit.One more feature which was not there in my old mobiles is radio and also by help of my bro i have downloaded lots of java games which really keep me engaged in my boring hours.
The best part is.. it is safe and sound and works very well. I took care of it as if it is a new born baby and even though sometimes, Mistakenly if i dropped it also ( i have not , not many time, mit be once :) i mean it ) it says " hey i am fine and i will be shining, active and with you always, Don't wry :) "
