NY Resolution with Canvas Tab

Mohan was pretty uneasy at finding a suitable gift to his family. He had got a Kanchivaram Saree to his mother, a pair of spectacles to his dad, but couldn't decide on what to gift his little sister, Mohini. "She is in college, a dress would be useful & girls favorite. But she always complained about my choices" He thought.

Then on November , he had seen the new Micromax Canvas Tab P666 in the market. "It has a great feature with 5 mega pixel camera, 8 inch display, very good battery life , 8GB storage & affordable too. Why not buy something techno to my sister, she would love it" and decided to surprise Mohini.

Mohini was really excited to receive a Tab from his Brother and that too just before New Year Eve. She conveyed her excitement "Wow!! A Canvas Tab.... so convenient , multipurpose and portable. Tomorrow I am going to do some show off in college for sure. Thanks a lot Mohan Bhai"

Next Day was 31st December. On New Year Eve as all collage, there were events & contest held and It was a fun no lecture day. Mohini was flattering her new Canvas to everyone when her eye caught an extempore event. The topic of the day was "NY Resolution".  Mohini loved it and she wanted to participate. But she taught "This speech must be different. Why not I involve Canvas Tab in it"

Brief on that Speech :

New Year Resolution has now become a tradition in India, to make a self promise to ourself on improving our daily routine. But undergoing some changes to our life, means getting out of our lazy life tending to make things perfect.

We do have several resolution which on every 1st January we promise, but forget on the very next day. In such cases, we can use techno to help out. Consider my new "Canvas Tab" & will elaborate on how it can help me & my family drive our quest.

Resolution 1: Finding New Job: (Brother's Resolution). Every year he says that the company he is working sucks and wants to change. But he never gets the opportunity; he is always so busy with his work & hence no time on queuing up in his laptop for Job hunts. But this friendly affordable techno can help him achieve this.
Always be online in Job hunt portable, and never miss the opportunity of a highly paid employee scheme :)

Resolution 2: Make Bank work easy: ( Dad's Resolution) He is always running around the banks, asking for loans, deposits, withdrawals & etc etc which I am not aware. Now with canvas everything can be done by one touch, once we download to respective Apps, he can start his bank work @ home and that too with speed; as Canvas has the support of 3G.
Even there is no complains from dad as "I can't see those tiny letters in these screen" as the screen size is large. Cool na!!!

Resolution 3: Being a Instant Photographer: (My Resolution): I love clicking, I got a new camera for it. But those moments never come when I am with it. I get that chance only when I am out without it. This really makes me sick. I think this year , Canvas can help me with it. 5MB rear camera with 16M color depth, not to forget the very high battery life and wide screen to view, amazing.
Now don't forget to get my autograph if I become a professional one due to it.

So when are you buying your own Micromax Canvas Tab P666 to boost your skills?.....Go on Its New year's eve...I believe it's what a family can get influenced.

Be Truthful Be Pure....

From our young age, we have been taught to tell truth. We have been taught not a lie & express the fact.I remember my 1st encounter of  "truth & lie" from an English textbook in schools through stories of Mr. Mohandas Karamchand A.K.A Mahatma Gandhi. He, who was brave enough to admit his mistake in front of his father after getting enlightened by watching Sathya Harischandra's Drama.

Truth connects people; as & when you express your inner most secrets by means of desire or uncertain past it can help others understand you more. It creates a sense of trust.

But still people lie.Through the ages people dwell between truth and lie. We say lying is easy, truth is difficult. Why is it so?

Everyone needs immediate solution and hence Lie has come into existence. Lie can bring immediate satisfaction but cannot sustain for long. It creates peace for a moment but by means of a false signal. It is just a slow poison which we are unaware.Truth on the other hand, can hurt not only you but others for that moment but over the time it creates satisfaction and we can take it forward and build as a base for a new beginning.
Source: Pixabay/shutterstock

Hence waking up and realizing that I need to sort this out by telling the truth needs encouragement and motivation from within and takes a great deal of courage. But once you speak out, it gives mental relief and physical confidence. I had encounter same situation few times; the moment I know something terrible is going on, I would need to tell the concern person as soon as possible.

I want to illustrate what happened during my early days of my career.
Source:pixabay/shutterstock

I was just 5 months into IT and I was still in my learning phase. Every now or then, there were releases which needed to be tested thoroughly & implemented. Even though, I was new as an IT professional, my manager showed a great deal of confidence in me and gave lots of high responsibilities. I was given a whole location activity and advised to take up the activity till the end.

The whole project went on smooth, few a times there were ups and downs, but was manageable. But the concern came at the closure. The Client which I handled was more keen on documentation and privacy; during the release stage, I realized that the document which was submitted was not as we prepared and tested. It had a discrepancy. This realization ticked in the early morning hours @ office just one day before release. No one of my colleague or my client were online.

I thought for a few moments, "It is in approved state. My Client and My high officers have not identified my mistake while approving.  Why don't I too just leave this here and go on with my other work as if nothing as happened. It can't create any mistake from me. I was not the sole responsible person as they didn't do their duty well"

Hence I just forgot about it and carried on. Later around 8.30 clock I saw a blink in my office communicator. It was my End customer. A rush of gush went through my body, "Did he catch my mistake in the documentation?". I opened the ping and read it aloud. No!!, Phew it was something to do with today's activity.

Then came my manager and called me to his office room through his extension. Again the same feeling & again a false alarm. It was just to inform that he will be out of the office early today and wanted the daily task report soon and some stupid other works lined up for tomorrow.

But I had understood that keeping a secret, not telling the truth or in building a lie can create confidence for a few seconds but it always creates frequent static shocks like those gush moments I am facing now.

I went back to my manager's cabin and told him about the mistake I have encountered. I apologized for not identifying it earlier. He was angry as tomorrow was the closure day for that project but thanked me for identifying it before the release. He then said that I need to address it to my Indian Client whom I have been working very closely.

I called my Indian Client and explained the mistake which I identified this morning. He was calm and laughed and said "Wow it was approved by so many people and never identified. I think we all trusted you so much and hence we did not  think there will be any mistakes from your end. Yes we can understand it"

He then explained me it was not a big deal but yes to make a version change of the document and email the version copy stating the reason and approval needed again of the document.

I then understood that why was it not the approvals mistake; "the trust in me that I will not do mistake". It really boosted my confidence in doing my work even more sincere.

To be frank even now, when I am not working for that Client, I have a healthy relationship set between the Indian Client, my manager & even my end customer.

I believe , one of this act " Telling the truth at the right moment" has contributed to it.

Hence don't hesitate to express Truth, It might be more beneficial than hiding it.

Melbourne, City of Literature

International trips are always pleasing and gives us a new exposure on their culture, hospitality & wideness. If such trips are in the World's most livable city , then it is an added advantage. Such city is chosen by a survey conducted based on having the best standard of living. 2014 World's most livable city is "Melbourne"

I have never visited Melbourne but yes unlike everyone I have heard of its beauty , architecture & some world famous events or organisation.

As an Indian, no one can go out of our subsistence without getting involved in Cricket. And on that sense, when we connect Melbourne it always reminds me of MCG- Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Australia is famous for sports & MCG marks for it. As the name inclines it induces cricket but lots of other games such as football, rugby, athletics, boxing have been conducted and even events related to it are being hosted. Even last lap of Melbourne Marathon was organised here.It is the 11th largest stadium of the world and the largest in Australia.I can also remember it having the highest light tower compared to any sports venue. And also not to forget even our dear PM did not miss to go here during his Australia visit.

Melbourne City center or the city in itself  is a place to visit for. Most of the business and financial center of Australia are present here. It has the tallest buildings of Australia and its infrastructure is breath taking.
It is called as City of Literature by UNESCO as it engulfs, celebrate & maintain its culture & heritage without getting distracted by globalization. Hence the city participates in promoting their Film, Arts, Music; be it by Live performance in theaters; be it films as world first feature film was produced in Melbourne and Australia film industry is situated here or be it by showcasing worlds best street plays. We can view architectural buildings in the city which talks about how the city has maintained its heritage and also marked a standard for other city.

Australian loves coffee, books and hence you can get a sneak peek of such entity like cafes, bookshops packed with arts & music venue throughout the city. It has also been marked as having the best health care & education facility in Australia.

Melbourne city center is the transportation hub of the city & railways is an important transport among them. Flinders Street railway station has covered the entire rail network, and is the world busiest railway station. The station is spread across a huge area & has most stunning architecture of Victorian heritage. The street also comprises Metro's suburban services . We can also find what they call as 'W class Melbourne tram', a electric tram which follows city center tourist routes. These trams are a cultural icon of Melbourne.

Great Ocean Road is the perfect coastal drive where it creates a sense of nature coming to you. We can walk if we don't like to drive exploring the national parks, beaches and definitively the magnificent view. We can also surf, enjoy wildlife & get to know the culture through food. It creates a world of escaping from the city.

As all sea facing cities, we can find famous beaches with its unique identity; to name some are St Kilda, Brighton, Sorrento.

We can also find some famous and oldest tourist attraction around the city like Melbourne Zoo, Melbourne Museum, Royal Heritage Exhibition buildings

To conclude, It has everything which needs for comfort and as necessity and is livable with ongoing beauty through its rich taste in its culture and heritage. Even though it is rooted in its culture, it calls out globally to participate and grow with the modern livelihood. Hence it is called as 'Culture capital of Australia'.

So why can't anyone fall in love with this impressive city...!!!

Penny of an effort to millions of fun

Vacations are fun and relaxing but for children it is an excitement to the core. Free from studies, exams, school and the usual boredom, they get super excited at least a month before.

They tend to do some checklists like pack their own bag, count the days to come and ask about the place where they are going. They bring the vacation mood much before it starts, which makes all us in a "ready steady go" mood.

So to keep this enthusiasm on, we  as a parent, might have to do some more work than usual. If it is with friends, colleague or adults the approach would not need much attention, but with children as they get bored easily and need attention & address, we need to keep some cautions along with fun.

I am still not a parent, but here are some insight from me from the stories I have heard & the fun I had as a Kid.
Source: shutterstock/pixabay

Fun at Start:

As I said before, Enthusiasm starts way before the vacation starts, there will be lots of questions flying, if it is an unknown place or place which they are visiting for the 1st time. I have heard my cousins talking about their kids, when they brief me about their vacations. So we need to know much more about the places before even addressing about it to them.

Pack Up:

Packing is crucial. As a parent, we will have extra packing responsibility and as kids are so adamant, we need to convenience them to carry clothes & accessories which fit that place. Kids, as natural, wants to carry most of their favorite stuff hence we need to tackle this profoundly. Even if there is some issue at the beginning, packing will be fun with kids around. Few a times I have seen my nephew giving instructions on what his parents should wear on those occasions and why. The reasons behind are serious eye openers.

We as parent might have to take some extra precautions like tablets, winter clothes, specific need for kids, which can be helpful to manage some bad conditions, if arise.

Travel:

It has been a dilemma for most of the parents, as expectations of children and parents never matches. Managing the places to visit is still something I even can't decide, but I believe in a day trip, activities which bring happiness to both the generation, is a must.

Kids love Zoo, Parks , beaches, rides, 'adventurous but not tiring' trips whereas we as an adult would like to see places which are famous and must see. Hence keeping them energetic in any situation is the key. If they are in mid of boredom then it would not be much fun.

Dull places for kids are museum, historical places, long journey and weddings. Making those dull more interesting  can be handled if we can occupy them in some other activities. My cousin gets them occupied with some games during long journeys or introduce them to other kids so they can enjoy during some boring trips or Indian fat  long weddings.

Budget & expense must be discussed with your partners or others before commuting on any vacation, as kids are attracted much easily and tend to demand.

Ending is only sweet memories

Recalling my childhood vacation days, it so happened that both me and my brother never used to get a chance to click a photo as dad used to be the "main photographer" of the trip . But clicking snaps in trips was the exciting part for us. So dad on our next trip, got a solar camera for both of us. We took many snapshot and made a unique album out of it.

Now when we look back at those photos, they are ridiculous & funny; few half clicked photo, few with our fingers , few more which are oblige. But to our parents those are the memories of our innocence, fun & eagerness.

Another incident I remember, is on an Ooty trip, where my brother, 5-6 yrs old, ran from hotel room to see Mr Anil Kapoor who was shooting for a film, near the hotel premises. It took my mom almost 15 min to get him out from the crowd. It was a scary experience for both my parents but now recalling it, creates sentiments & curiosity.

Over the time when I become a parent, even I would be facing some unusual incidents which later might create a sweet memory, as my parents have experienced. But enjoying with your children always create more awareness & more entertainment than a couple's romantic trips.

"It can create so much of an "oh , ha , oops & yew"; but bringing out that child in you and enjoying that trip with them can generate the magic and remains as a sweet memory, later on."

Presenting well pleases all!!

Guys, Will you Shave?

What a question, I think it is an obvious "Yes" for girls when asked about 'whether guys should shave'; but guys have something else in mind!!

To men: very rare if they haven't thought this, we ladies perhaps never understand how much irritating daily shaving can be, they would love to grow beard and waste that unnecessary time standing in-front of bathroom mirrors and shaving up hair which they have removed 1-2 days back. Such a cumbersome work, right guys!!
Souce: Shutterstock/pixabay

To be frank, if we ladies start opening up our bundle of beauty tips, guys would go gaga!!

Anyway this is for you men so no girl talks!! So here goes...

Everyone appreciates men with perfect body, ironed dress, well combed & definitely completely shaved. Even on a job hunt, these are "the must" rules for men.

Our company too has set of rules of grooming. Men are not allowed if they are improperly groomed and shaving is one of them. HR or security guard doesn't allow men unshaven, to enter the office premises. Sounds ridiculous, but associate has applied leave due to improper grooming.

Other than workplace too, unshaven men are given the least importance. It generates an image of incapability. Basically I believe, men grew beards to distance them from public reason being for the few of them as"It gives fun, artistic look", few more "personal issues" & few being "lazy"; it always creates a sense of aloneness and secrecy.

Gazing at the beard look, others perspective towards them changes. Hence Few a times, it creates dislike even if men are very kind and dear and generally end up being arrogant & annoying. If you disagree see "Alan from Hangover Movie Series". To add on, to give that villainous look in movies, they are  fashioned with a beard.

Well shaved face is always pleasing. Babies, dogs are perfect examples, they tend to have more liking towards shaved men compared to beard.I hope you have seen their reactions.I believe of all the people with a beard, only one person is whom we like with beard i.e. Santa Claus.( the obvious white beard men)

Shaving has an equal equation with Marriage. Ever seen any married men without Shave!! Very rare. Even while searching proposals there is very less chance for an unshaven man.

Source: Shutterstock/pixabay
Unshaven beard reminds, rather irritates me,  a habit of my cousin. It was during my school days, he used to greet me by swiping my hand over his cheeks. It was so annoying and sometimes hurtful. I used to scold him, "why can't you just shave?"

To talk about the men in my life, I have seen a quite a remarkable difference in my husband when I see him shaved. He looks fairer when shaved and much pleasing even if he is annoyed or angry. I think this is one of the rare moments where in even my mother in law also agrees with me.

Now isn't it Obvious...."An unshaven man results in opportunity being missed , be it professional or personal".

So Now Will you Shave???

This post is a part of #WillYouShave activity at BlogAdda in association with Gillette

I nominate Saru Singhal and Vinay Shenoy to take up the #WillYouShaveChallenge.

Road Safety to you & me...

Journey is fun, entertaining and joyful, especially if it is with your loved ones. The boring journey which you would have, can be vanquished if some of your loved ones are there for company. But when we add Safe to Journey, It is not only your or your loved ones duty but all the Public who are involved in that Journey. Be it your bus conductor in which you are travelling, to the traffic policeman, to the Pedestrians & to the taxi driver who is travelling along with your bus; everyone's action matter. If in any circumstance any of them makes a wrong move, it can have a disastrous end.

Hence when we talk about "Road Safety", it is not only your action which matters but also others.Every individual when stepping outside has a discipline to be followed towards road safety. The below episode is a small tit bit of what I want to convey

"Aravind was crossing a road when he got a call. He answered the call. A few hours later , he was found in a hospital bed. You can find such stories in the newspaper every now or then.

Why does it happen. Was it the drivers fault who didn't see Aravind or was it Aravind who took a call and missed the speeding bike."

Source : NSDF

Matter of Fact, if each individual follow certain steps on Road safety we can combat it. Rules and regulation of road safety is something which has been taught to us from our school time. During my childhood I was very excited, especially the different signs, which was taught to us in schools to see them in the road. But over the time when we grow older, these signs are neglected. Hence safety starts from basic.

Do you know your Basic Rules? : Half of the drivers who drive never know the basic signs and signals. Even the few who know never follow them.Hence people who follow are left in a penny size. When such people tend to follow rules, others blame them. Hence people have forgotten which is right & which is wrong. Rules learnt in schools has been limited to school exams and never implemented.A strict action should be organised to revamp this wrong.

I would also like to bring some light on some key areas which needs attention

  1. High Beam/Dim dip: This I believe is a very serious crime, when travelling in city limit, people put High beam lights. The opposite end vehicle is impacted highly. Any new learner would cause an accident due to it
  2. Overtake and/or no Signal: Half of the accident in Bangalore happens due to overtake and/or no signals.
  3. Drinking & Driving : Needs no introduction as even popular famous people have caught in the act.
  4. Using Mobile while driving : Term "Mobile" means able to be moved but using a Mobile Phone while driving can harm others.Just a call can end a life.
  5. Honking: It can be irritating when you hear honking when there is a red sign ahead. Please be patience & don't honk unnecessarily.

Don't neglect the audience! It is not only a Drivers responsibility but also other passengers who are seated in that vehicle on a road safety mission. Any distraction caused can result in damage.
For example,

  1. It is not only for car drivers to wear a seat belt but also the passengers.
  2. Also in Public transportation, many a times we notice people don't follow certain arrangements while climbing or when getting down especially in Buses/Trains. Hanging around the doors can be stylish but cause accidents.
  3. Challenging/encouraging drivers for a road race in a busy streets can be catastrophic.
  4. When you are with your kids/pets, make sure you direct them on how to behave in busy streets while you drive.
  5. Even few action of Pedestrians can result in accidents. Accidents can happen due to the negligence while crossing roads, sleeping in footpath, jogging in roads, running to catch buses, etc.
Hence to avoid every Indian needs to be aware of the safety measures irrespective whether they drive or not.

Bike Riders!!!Footpath is for Pedestrians and not for 2 wheeler's. I am stressing on 2 wheeler because majority of Indian, rides bike or scooter. Even though it is small compared to other vehicles; it is a cause for major deaths & accidents.

Few attitudes of riders which needs attentions

  1. No Helmet
  2. No Licences
  3. More than 2 people
  4. No  Age limit
  5. Bad Maintenance - No Rear Mirrors / No Horns
  6. Short cut Mania
  7. Stunts
Traffic Men khi Jai!!!!! Of all the people in India, Traffic men are the ones who are in charge of these rules & safety. But are they the guider or the neglecter!!

Bribe, Scam and Restless behavior of them are seen and heard most of the times. These safety men are meant to serve their duty which they have forgotten and during safety drive should be monitored and reported.

Blaming is not a motivation, we need to help them & get them their appreciation of what they deserve too, as there are few good men in them too.

Lastly I would say that there are many other safety measures which I haven't mentioned here but the ultimate thought of road safety is that

"Death, Accident results in a loss of someone so dear, think about your dear one when you want to mend a rule..are you ready for a lose due to your childishness?"

Challenge the Fear!!!

Fear starts from the day we are born. As we are happy, sad we are born with  fear within us. It is an emotion which is induced when we encounter a threat around us.

I believe that Fear is needed in life, or else we can't understand the importance of our success. But the essence of overcoming fear is not what everyone understands hence some people fail.

Fear has always been a part of my life. Anytime I need to challenge myself, fear is one of the factors.

My 1st encounter of Fear was during 2003, after my 12th result.
Source: shutterstock/pixabay

My Fear 2003 - Career Path

  • Fear gained entrance : From a very young age, I was interested to be a Doctor but 12th score resulted circumstances in such a way that nor the score gave me any free seats on MBBS neither could we afford that luxurious payment seats.
  • Fear caught speed : In the form of imagination & thoughts I lost my confidence "why didn't I score more".
  • Fear of dream vanishing : My Engineer ranking was much better than My Medical but I did not want to give up my desire.
  • Fear of being insufficient: From my young age, I have seen my cousins going either to Engineer or Doctor. Hence I had a fear that I am going to break tradition and become a traitor.
  • Fear Results  ..Insomnia, depression: Dilemma on what career path to pick as the option narrowed, resulted in devastating nights of my teenage.
  • And Free Advice's: Few of my parents' friends suggested that BSc Biology would be a great choice for me. In future too even if she joined Engineering she may not be able to take that stress.

Rise above Fear:

Few instances, we try giving up for the ones we haven't achieved and fail to see the gain.

  1. Calm yourself: When we are in fear 1st instance is to calm yourself. As a Brahman, I am taught to chant mantra's to eradicate anything fearful and this has been the "mantra" to calm myself ever since.
  2. Enjoy what you have: "Yes I haven't gained good score, but I didn't flunk. I was able to achieve 87% in PCM and 81% in my PCB. This is not bad.",this was one of the motivation sentences which I used to reside myself.
  3. Never compare with others: I told that my cousins are Engineers and Doctors but neither of them are Dancers, Painters nor Bloggers :).I think this sentence says it all.
  4. Accept: Accepting the current situation is crucial. Things can see vague at that moment but we need to accept it and move forward. As Medical and Engineer seat allocation procedure was late, I joined BSc for a week. I wanted to overcome my fear of accepting and ask myself "Is this what I want?".
  5. Go against the odd: I went to Medical seat allocation, selected Ayurveda medicine seat - BAMS; "If not MBBS lets try BAMS" was my thought. I got a seat in Ayurveda collage which was very new but not the best.
  6. Take Risk: I went to Engineering seat allocation too as my ranking was good. I selected Biotechnology, a very new medical field  in the engineering sector in a top most collage of my city.
  7. Decide happily: During my decision time, I thought happily. I had Bsc in Biology, BAMS and Biotechnology. Any option I choose, there is its own pros and cons but I need to choose something I am happy about and I don't regret later.
I decided "Biotechnology"

Success 2003-2007

The Risk which I took which was not in any of the Plans and out of the box. Sometime Life presents us path which are very different from one another. I took Biotechnology as the subject was related to  medicine and the collage was good. But more then that It made me Happy.

But along with this, It also taught me what I had failed to acquire in the past. "Marks";  this was a downfall for me not to enter MBBS but was one of the building blocks in my 4 years of engineering. To people who gave advice's as "she can't make it successfully in Engineering", I proved them wrong not only by scoring high but being the topper in biotechnology 2003-2007 Engineering Lifespan.

I questioned myself "what made my biology answers to score so low?". I learnt that my explanation was sometime similar to literature paper very vague like beating behind the bushes or incomplete or no connectivity. I learned my mistake

As a conclusion, My Motivation to be the Topper are
  • A fear of the past
  • A fear about not being able to succeed in future.
Source: Shutterstock/pixabay

There has been far more fearful incident than the above resided one and m' still fighting on but the ultimate result is to gain confidence on fear and take it in a sporty way.

In the future, I would be facing something more fearful and never faced circumstance but to overcome is to think that we can gain something out of this fear Just like "without any "fear" sacrifice there is no "success" gain" .

Even the most powerful substance in the world follows the same principle i.e "Energy"

"Energy can't be created nor destroyed it can only transform from one form to another." We just need to catch this Fear arising Energy and convert it into Successful and fruitful Energy

And to end, I would like to leave readers with a saying from Lord Krishna from Mahabharata "Fear is an imagination which depicts a picture of what bad can happen in the near future. But if Fear is just an "imagination" why panic about it"

Swachh India starts from you...

Our PM, Mr Narendra Modi Ji has started a national campaign called "Swachh Bharath Abhiyan"; the objective being to clean the roads, streets & infrastructure of our India.

Cleanliness has always been a target in India as compared to Other countries. Ever when any NRI or Foreigner arrives in India, they always make a visual comment on it and also when we travel abroad we always appreciate other country's road, safety, health and discipline compared to India. Hence to eradicate this thought this campaign has been initiated. But where do we start?

A home, a cosy place to live; be it your own or rental, a place where we all stay most of our life, it brings security & luxury; to express yourself and when stayed with our loved ones; creates togetherness. We say "house turns to home when there is love and warmth" but along with that when thought practically we need to include "sanitation & hygiene" too for better health & better life. Why not start from home!!!

For me, cleanliness is a must. Before writing this post, I made sure I have cleaned my home and then sat to write. It creates a sense of relief , peace & in this case, encourages me to write :). I would like to address the 2 important area where we need to fit cleanliness. I believe if you act on it, it in-turn can influence 40-50% Clean India

  • Toliet & Bathroom
  • Dustbin

Tolilet & Bathroom:

Before addressing cleanliness, there are many houses without toilet/Bathroom. Shocked!! Yes,when we search for a house for rent or sale, people search for western commode or Indian; but consider if there are houses for rent/sale without toilets, will you stay!!
  • People in such houses go to open fields to urinate or shit.
  • This creates diseases as flies which sit in these shit sit in the food they eat.
  • This also creates embarrassing situation especially to women who have to urinate & shit in-front of other people.
  • And in some parts as open fields are getting exhausted, there are people to collect shits who are treated as untouchables.
  • What happens when ladies are menstruating!!
  • Bathing in river or pond can be even more embarrasing, pollutes water with your body dirt & if it is the same pond which is used to drink; you can imagine water diseases which invade!!!
Even when we have toilet, few of our men want to urinate in Public. This is so common in roads where there is open drainage. Why does this happen??
  • This is because when we were young, like 4-6 years, we were taught that if by any case toilets are busy or not available, you can urinate in open drainage or fields where nobody is seen and if the same habit is carried, the same practice will continue with our young generation.
Even when there is toilet and bathroom available in houses, Few kids urinate/shit/bath in Public. Considered Why??
  • The reason being room not clean. Fungus or stinking odor causes people not to use toilet or bathrooms.
Solution: Have Toilet/Bathrooms & Clean them regularly
  • Build Toilet & Bathroom
  • Practice each and every one to use it
  • Say No to Urinate or Bathing in Public
  • Clean the rooms at-least once a week
  • Use some toilet freshener
Encourage to
  • Build Toilets in homes and Public.
  • Keep Clean Public Toilets.
  • Give free Cleaning agents & toilet fresheners to people who can't afford
  • Use Toilets & Bathroom.

Dustbin:

Dustbin hear represents the waste, be it liquid or solid. Waste gets accumulated everyday; be it from cooking, washing or cleaning. But what do you do about the waste?
  • Throwing outside to others compound?
  • Wrapping in a plastic bag and throw it in a open drainage?
  • "I don't have dustbin, I just throw all my waste  in near by open field. It will get decompose" attitude
  • Feed it to animals which includes Plastic and other dangerous waste.
  • water wastage drain to open pond creating stagnant water
  • If waste is not treated well, you can invade cockroach, rats, bed bugs and flies!
  • What about hair fallen when you comb!!
Even when we are far away from home, don't we need to throw the waste in a trash bin. Do we follow it!!
  • When we get down from a bus, where do you throw your bus ticket?
  • Eating Banana/Potato Chips when we travel is good but what do you do about the waste covers?
  • Spitting Pan or Sticking Chew Gums is a habit?
Why does this happen??

  • The discipline which is taught at home encourages the way we treat it in the future and also our act outside. Hence the correct approach should start from a home.

It is not only a family responsibility which can nullify when society is considered, but of all the neighbors. For example, if there is anything which is stinking, lying in the road, people ignore and go about on their own way. Specific action should be initiated by everyone in that society as anything under Public environment is the responsibility of each one of us.

One more discrepancy is heard about nowadays, on the cleaners who come to clean this waste. Be it's the cleaners, who come to collect your daily dustbins or the road sweepers, yes, they are meant to carry out their job but that doesn't mean they should be treated badly!!.

Also Government is not encouraging them. No safety measures are given to them like proper gloves, boots, clothes nor is there any stable salary. Hence they seek with us, the public, for some tips ( money), resulting difference.

Funny, but real, cleaners consider those of who give tips as favorable.

Also I see in many outskirts of the city, dump of waste accumulated for treatment. This can result in dangerous diseases affecting public even if they have followed all sorts of cleanliness procedure.
Solution: Accumulating waste and disposing it in a right manner is very important.

  • Have a dustbin @ home to collect the waste
  • Utilize it regularly & encourage others to do it
  • For Liquid waste, proper connectivity from home to drainage should be arranged
  • Seek help from government & other sector which work on this
  • Plastic can be dangerous to animals, Please avoid throwing them.
  • Government also should look on to the sanity of the waste accumulated
There is a great deal of Government support needed in this case not only in cities but in small towns and villages.
  • Sewage treatment
  • Drainage blockages
  • Waste disposal procedure
  • Cleaners wages and safety
  • Helpline facility
  • Public awareness program
  • Public disposal facility
                ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

During the Swachh talk I have put a stress on the 2 topics which affects cleanliness. But there are more, all which conveys --> how we have disciplined at home, how we act towards daily routine and also how we mimic our elders. Many of us can avoid this mistake by regulating @ our home. But there are people who don't have homes, who don't have anyone to guide. For those, we are the ones to guide them.

Finally at Home we can control few of our actions and can also rewind. It may not be a big headache. But the same if effected India, rewinding something done can be devastating or impossible.

So Better think twice!!

This Blog is written as a part of a contest held by Indiblogger & Dettol India collaborates with NDTV to make an awareness of how sanitation and hygiene play a role in our daily routine life @ home which in turn affects our beautiful land, India

You can get more details on it http://swachhindia.ndtv.com/

Lets put our hand together for #SwachhIndia

Retouch a Photo

*Aware how your best friend turned Model, retains her charm in Photo's even though she appears way different than she looks.
*Shocked to see few missing colleagues in the last office party shot.
* Ever heard of any controversy due to a Photo, i think it rang a bell!!

That's right, Photo retouching or Photo manipulation is behind it. Retouching is all about getting your final image ready as you desired by giving it a spark and make it attract.

Interestingly retouching had begun way long during early 1800's and yes, even though there were no digital media/computers back then, it was achieved through paint, ink or piercing negatives in darkrooms. Nowadays, thanks to computers we have a wide range of retouching technique, famous being of course the Adobe Photoshop.

Photo Retouching has differently utilized around the world. Consider India, for instance, along with the glamour and entertainment world, marriage also has some share among retouching.Indian marriages as compared to rest of the world has an inclination to arrange marriages. Proposals with horoscope and photo are sent to the bride groom family and vice verse to the bride's family and if matched only, will be a one to one communication.Hence to bypass this obstacle, Photo's of these young ones are altered, to achieve that bridge within the families. Common reason being, groom's to cover their baldness and bride's for the fair complexion get the aid of photo retouching. This is one of the interesting event of photo retouching utilization which happens in this unique world.

Even though there has been a multiple argument of photo retouching to be ethical practice or not, I believe, even a straight photo or almost any image in the world can be said to be modified due to camera or photographer mindset as compared to the naked eye or so called "nature".

The term "Photo Retouching" also inspires and questions us through a thought, "what if we can retouch our planet Earth, to make this world a better place, a beautiful one, with peace and positive vibes among each of us"

Downloading HIV antivirus

HIV, a virus which infected allows it to control a human body & an Introduction of which causes fear throughout the world. When such a dangerous virus invades a traditional country like India, It can create a tsunami. This is what had happened in 1986.

The reason behind the invade has explained to be by migrated people or foreigner travelers, transmitting into sex workers but once it had entered, there has been a disturbance in each and every individual of India.

Disturbance is mainly because of the tradition which was carried in India due to which awareness was unreachable, as there were difficulties in circulating messages during the early 1990's. I can reside an incident which happened during those early times wherein the couple who got married ended up horribly such that the husband was left to die with his lonely mother & only after a few years that it was known that it was AIDS which killed her son and was due to her daughter in law. Such was the case during 90's as awareness events were not conducted vigorously or never reached the common citizens.

But as we progressed to 2000's & now to 2014's, we have seen a remarkable downsize of this monstrous, nevertheless as all hope, even India seeks to nullify it. But based on the latest survey even though percentage looks very small, when compared with the population it is at a range of 2.1 million people affected.

To Tackle this we need innovative ideas compared to the traditional approaches. Some major part of India is on the step to change from traditional boundaries to modern approach, where in Traditional approach are not sufficient but others are Bound with Regional & Culture, hence we need to understand the mindset on Indian's when tackling such complex events.

1. Spread/Awareness: As in any country, Awareness & its communication are key. But the mode might differ. A simple television advertisement cannot awake everyone. We need to bring ideas which can reach the people who are in the minute part of India. Key people who attracts should be studied like sex workers, travelers; their presence in India must be calculated and education should be directed to them.Schools & Collages also have started up educating the young Indians on AIDS & HIV and its consequences. This will gain modern approach system. But a major part of the India is the villages and as they are the least who get the exposure, awareness should always start from them. But they are not only the last people to be heard but also the difficult people to be convinced. They prefer to be in their own traditional approaches and hence doesn't intend to blend, unless some major circumstances arise. The team which goes to tackle, should understand and respect their traditions but also able to convince them. These set up of people need to do a lot of research & homework even if it is just a visit.

2. Tackle Anxiety: People are not only materialistic but also emotionally bound. Hence when such a dangerous situation arises people tend to generate fear within a community and due to which consequence can be unfruitful. Even if a person is suffering from AIDS, he may not be willing to come forward and express his concern. This can be seen in many of the countries but I believe in Indian it is more. We need to make sure when we conduct awareness, we need to remember the Anxiety faced which might send different waves all together. Understanding the crowd can aid us in achieving 25% of the problem but we need to answer each and every question elaborately as some of the Indians are bound by traditions & illiteracy and some are modern & intellectual.

3. Involve Key Delegates: While this approach is Tradition, but few Indians listen to Key people only. Delegates in India can fall under the category from Actor to Actress to Politicians to Religion leaders. During our awareness events, when involved key delegates, can attract huge audiences and also can make the voice heard even more quickly. We can also ask these delegates, with due own interests, to contribute in such awareness.

4. Stories/Facts: Discrimination is seen wide spread in India and they blame the few innocent to be the primary initiator & also they are the ones who are targeted the most. When Real stories & facts are published, we can at least try to reduce the innocent to be the victims.

5. Help 24/7 - Fund & Support: There are 24/7 Helplines but are they given the visibility, sponsors & support. No, not in India. India due to lack of support tend to fall and doesn't successful in the task of doing something beneficial. Because of corruption, or instability there has been many Help centers which can't do their work legally. This can only be done when the government of India takes such activities seriously & support not only financially but also in action.

6.Target the Carrier: As already mentioned, there has been significant deduction of HIV but there are a couple of people such as the sex workers, Transgenders, truck drivers, migrants, injectors who act as a carrier of this infectious disease. We need to focus our attentions on such people who can prevent expanding further.

7.Free Treatment: As aware India is still in its developing phase; there are people who don't have money for their survival hence treatment if it is cost effective can attract as many as possible and if enrolled free treatment we can nullify this infection forever.

These are the few key areas through which we can prevent the rise of HIV in India & if followed with 100% effort can be successful in eradicating.

Indian Aviation, from Bigger to Better.... a step to connect

Indian Aviation is one of the key which connects India to the world but still questions arise...

Why Bigger??

*Traveling:

Most of us express Traveling as one of our hobby. Be it for some work scheduled or to meet our loved ones or mere for luxurious enjoyment, people travel from one place to another. Few commute reasons can be vague or some special occasions, people have woken up to explore new places or revisit old places just to see few changes.

During my grandma's time, there were arguments and misjudgments on the same topic. I can give you an example where in my granny after completing her X, wanted to do a 3 month Teacher Training course which was 10KM far away from their home town and was not allowed as there were no transportation. But she did managed to get it through by some other means, is some other story to reside. Comparing that, now day's schools in cities/villages are far away from the hub and mostly, are more than 10KM, and we do have school buses.

Conclusion, demand for traveling has commenced. I have even heard parents sending their children to abroad just to complete their higher studies in reputed international schools.

Additionally, Facility of traveling also has modified over the few decades. People prefer Buses with sleeper facility rather than seating. Metro Trains have taken over Traditional Trains. So What about in Airlines?

There has been drastic increase in  the numbers of Planes and different aviation industry have opened up, offering great discounts to attract not  only business class individuals but also people who travel in economic class. Due to this amazing impact, there has been a large engulfment of other industries getting involved in the Airlines sector.

Consider this, Being in one of the Top Indian City, I see en number of taxi cab and its co. working hard for providing the best reasonable fare, to and fro, to Airports. Back in 2007, HAL airport infrastructure was nothing compared to what is now in 2014 KIA & we do have different shopping sector opening up in airports which gives guests provisions to shop & spend their leisure time in airport more profitable. These are the few instances, on the large collection of impact of Aviation.

Outcome is obvious, Infrastructure, Technology, Job Opportunity in airline industry and its dependency is also becoming key entities; making it a bigger collaboration as a whole.

***Indian Diversity***:

Along with others, we do have the most major and might be Primary contribution for better aviation i.e. peoples itself.
We Indians need a bigger platform in any case; as being the 2nd largest population in the world, the resource count is the highest here. To add, we have different culture and religion, and further down, each individual have different aspects from life.

So when it comes to traveling there might be a mix culture of people/ customers for an airline and the perspective, expectation differs from one customer to another. When such wide varieties of people board a plane, this increases the expectation as an airline company which in turn increases their services.

For an example, a family of 4 may demand for entertainment and a traveler for his own privacy. A Brahman would prefer a vegetarian cuisine and Bengali a fish.

"India", as a word is difficult to adjust in a small confide book, as it has the most out busted culture, so can an aviation sector be small for India???

Never........

Bigger moving to Better!?

To be frank I haven't explained Infrastructure, Technology & Jobs in the earlier section, in detail, as we need Better opportunity for it.

Most of the Indians fall under Middle and lower Class Family. When it comes to aviation industry it is more of the opposite, being expensive and stylish. Chethan Bagat himself, on one of his book, has mentioned that Airlines is the most Stylish & Expensive Company to own and no unskilled person can engulf and not get drenched in it.

Not so long ago, there came news of flights cancelled and air service staff wages delayed due to debt issues. People not only see the vision in traveling wiser & more in an entertainment level but also aspire comfort ability and security.  When traveling through air these expectations are higher. When such stories arise, they unbolt the trust in airlines and get insecurity behavior towards aviation industry.

This in-turn loses the Investors, Skill-set resources & Jobs.

Indian Aviation should concentrate on 'people trust building activity'. Opportunity should be given not only to the CEO of an aviation industry but also to its staff to follow this motto.

Also new technology should be encouraged, by establishing non-Indian airlines to participate and give an opportunity. This can be made by utilization of Indian resources, communicating them with non-Indian airlines such as Lufthansa and play a role in elevating the Indian Aviation sector.

Lufthansa is one of the largest airline sectors in Europe; we can imagine the 3 key things it brings when it comes to India. 'Infrastructure, Technology & Jobs'

When Such Airlines comes into India, be it any kind of people i.e. investor, customer or staff puts an effort of trust and gives opportunity to make bigger better.

On such reason is #LufthansaA380

To add more on A380 advantage, some days ago, Our PM, addressing in Australia, expressed that India has a key which other country doesn't have, "Resource". Once we train them in the opportunistic skills, they can be the powerful Indian guns to be fired. These skilled resources are in much demand in Developed Countries.

When such demand increases the frequent traveling to international locations will be the key and #LufthansaA380 can deliver it in far more better than others.

A mere presence from Nov 8 2014, to its departure/arrival on Delhi, Capital City of India,  can bring so much credibility of India on many other countries.

To Talk about It has the best engine , remarkable technology & maximum storage with wide spread cuisine facility and to add, carries maximum passenger across the journey. You can find this in most of its achievement list:  Lufthansa Indian Website  (http://a380.lufthansa.com/TAKEPART/#/DE/EN/home)

But to India, It will bring the 3 Key Opportunity 'Infrastructure, Technology & Jobs', 2 Advantages, one to India 'Traveling in comfortable & secure environment', to Lufthansa 'Understanding Indian diversity' and the ultimate Shine A380 presence itself.

Check Out: A Video Clip on its arrival on November 8th 2014
